The SIRS website has recently added a feature to the SIRS website that enables users who have registered an account to post NGO safety incident reports, and view posted reports on a map of the world. This functionality was developed to provide an illustration of some of the information gathering and dissemination techniques promoted by SIRS. This application can be customized to address the specific needs of SIRS clients, or, it can be extended using other GIS/situational-awareness platforms.
